A Place with a Story
Hacienda El Origen is a working Costa Rican hacienda, lovingly preserved by its owner as a connection to the land and community where he grew up.
Spread across approximately 100 hectares (247 acres), the property is powered by the sun and water, with rainforest, pastures, gardens, fruit trees, cattle, emus, tilapia ponds, and even a traditional sugarcane press.
Waterfalls, winding trails, and hidden places invite exploration. A suspension bridge leads to a treehouse nestled among the branches, high above the rainforest floor.
There is something wonderfully reminiscent of Swiss Family Robinson here. A sense of adventure, discovery, and living a little closer to nature.
Spaces to Gather, Create, and Connect
The hacienda offers a variety of spaces that can be adapted to the needs of your group. An open-air pavilion provides a beautiful setting for yoga, meditation, movement, workshops, and group gatherings.
There are places for creative exploration, shared meals, conversations, and personal reflection, along with plenty of opportunities to wander, discover, or simply enjoy being surrounded by nature.
Between sessions, guests can enjoy the swimming pools, wood-fired sauna, trails, waterfalls, and the many surprises the property has to offer.
